Moon Society lauds and Supports NSS Statement on
Reauthorizing the Vision for Space Exploration

2008.05.16 - On May 7, before the Subcommittee on Space, Aeronautics, and Related Sciences Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, United States Senate Hearing on May 7, 2008, NSS Executive Director George Whitesides read a statement in support of Reauthorizing the Vision for Space Exploration.

This statement is a comprehensive and in depth look at the future of the American space program and it is fully in accord with the visions, goals, and aspirations of The Moon Society.

We recommend that all our members and leaders read it. Moon Society chapter and outpost leaders will also find this statement helpful in their local community outreach efforts.

We have put this significant statement on our website in the /publications/papers/ area - see title link above. The paper is a 78k pdf file that you can read online or download depending on your browser options.

The Moon Society and The National Space Society signed an Affiliation Agreement at the 2005 International Space Development Conference in Washington DC (Arlington, VA) on May 25, 2005. This affiliation has been of significant benefit to both organizations and we have since collaborated and partnered on a number of initiatives.
